WHAT ARE HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINES

Homeopathic medicines are natural substances found in the environment. They are not only from the plant kingdom but also from mineral, animal etc. They have no relations to chemical drugs.

They are administered in very small quantities, in order to avoid side effects. At the same time, the therapeutic effect of the drug remains because its activity is based on the relationship it has with the patient and not the quantity.

For example, with allergies, the greater the affinity (sensitivity) of the patient to a substance, the smaller the dose of the substance is needed to effect a change. The affinity of a homeopathic drug a patient needs is manifested by the fact that the drug, when administered to healthy people, causes similar symptoms to those from which the patient suffers – homeo (the same), plus pathos (disease), when we put these together it equals ‘Homeopathy”.

Homeopathic medicines act on the entire body to strengthen the defense mechanism with the result of healing, reinvigorating the body, and consequently eliminating all the negative symptoms.

Homeopathic drugs are regulated by the FDA.
